Christine Eckert

Christine is one of the founders of the Mundo midwifery practice. With her twenty years of experience, Christine Eckers is one of the most prominent midwives of The Hague. She is a member of the board of the Alliance of Midwives of the Medical Centre The Hague. Recently she has also become a coach. 

Michelle Beijerinck

Michelle has been working at Mundo for six years. Besides her work as a midwife, she is also certified to do pre-conceptional, or what we call 'child wish' consultations. She combines her passion for the job with an academic interest in the quality of obstetric care in the Netherlands; she is studying Health Policy & Management (MA) at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

Sylke Keizer

Sylke joined Mundo in 2009; before that she worked for 6 years as a clinical midwife at a hospital where she supervised high-risk births. She teaches FitZwanger, an antenatal course based on fitness. Sylke is one of the authors of a textbook on giving birth: 'Obstetric Interventions' (2010). Since March 2011 she is our specialist in acupuncture during pregnancy, labour, and postpartum period.

Both Sylke Keizer and Michelle Beijerinck participate in the Alliance of Midwives of the Bronovo Hospital in The Hague.

Inge Kole

Inge has been our practice assistant since 2006. She is Mundo's hostess; she is the one who makes the appointments and who ensures continuity in the practice when our midwives are delivering babies or making home visits. She works Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 2pm.

The midwives at Mundo are registered with BIG (Professions in Individual Health Care) and with the quality register of the Royal Dutch Organisation of Midwives (KNOV).
