Follow up
Six weeks after the delivery, we would like to see you once more for a follow-up examination. You can call the practice assistant around three weeks after the birth, to make an appointment with the midwife who was present at the delivery.
During this follow-up examination, your midwife will see how you and your baby are doing, how the feeding is going and how life as a parent suits you. We will examine your abdomen to see if your muscles have healed well, we will check your perineum, measure your blood pressure and if necessary your iron levels. We will also talk to you about contraception (in dutch). Usually, we will also talk about the delivery again. Also, we would like to know whether you were satisfied with our services, or whether you feel that there are some things that need improvement.
